Akiko Daimon: Mahjongg Manga Muscle Girl commission by the excellent
Justin Long. I first saw artwork from this artist in *
pumpmonger's gallery, and he's commissioned several awesome images from the artist like these:
Was happy to find out the artist was open for commission and asked him for his take on Akiko. I liked
first sketch submitted. Asked for some minor changes around the arms and the chest. I'm a fan of smaller joints, and felt they were a little large in the original. The
second pic looked good, and I asked him to continue.
He submitted the
prevoius colored version and asked if there were any changes. I felt Akiko needs her traditional green headband and asked him to make that change, along with some minor color adjustments. The skin tone is a bit lighter in this version and the color on the lips as well. It's subtle, but I think I like it. The artist is available for commission, so check out his webpage for the info. Very easy to work with. He's also going to auction off the physical lineart for this piece, and I'll post that info here when he puts it up.
