Hirohisa Onikubo

Hirohisa ONIKUBO ( 鬼窪浩久 ) is an artist that frequently contributes to various Japanese monthly publications.  His works are also available for paid download at sites like Digiket, DLSite, and DMM.  His art style is unique, showing a light touch with his penstrokes.  The artwork sort of reminds me of Jun Tomizawa's work in Menkichi.  Onikubo-san's eye for anatomy is excellent, and he produces a lot of artwork.  He seems to be fond of putting some muscle on his female characters, much to my delight.  Much of the time the lead protagonist is a woman of strong character, such as in his 8 volume manga series, Female Panther ( 美しき殺し屋 女豹 Utsukushiki Koroshiya Mehyou ) which is a series you should definitely check out.  Here are some links from Amazon JP for your convenience: Female Panther Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, Vol 4, Vol 5, Vol 6, Vol 7,  Vol 8



By day, the main character is an office lady with glasses and has her hair in buns.  By night, she is a strong and sexy assassin.  She strangles one mark with a towel, and another with a barbell.  Here's a few images that you'll find in the series:



There is some really nice artwork he has done for some Japanese Ero-Magazine anthologies.  In particular, you should check out Ishiki no Shita no Yokubou ( 意識の下の欲望 ) published in the October 2006 issue of Comic Sigma and a story called Law Life published in the August 2008 issue of Comic Angel Club.  The Law Life story was also collected in Onikubo-san's manga Hakudaku no Yami ( 白濁の闇 ).  Inshiki no Shita no Yokubou features a buff female wrestler, while Law Life features a pair of girls, one of whom is dark and muscular:
